Description

Spock is a testing and specification framework for Java and Groovy applications. What makes it stand out from the crowd is its beautiful and highly expressive specification language. Thanks to its JUnit runner, Spock is compatible with most IDEs, build tools, and continuous integration servers. Spock is inspired from JUnit, jMock, RSpec, Groovy, Scala, Vulcans, and other fascinating life forms.

Adds nice amount of sugar to tests. I think it's the first tool that made the given-when-then tests decent. Moreover the datatables are really awesome feature. Can be a little bit counterintuitive with mocking though (ar first).

I love Spock quite a bit ... I've actually converted hundreds of TestNG tests over to Spock.  Documentation is sparse, and a work in progress, but the framework does so much with so little, that this is not an impediment.  You will go very quickly from seeing it to the first time to feeling quite fluent, and that's nice.

Great tool, tests are very easy to write (and to read too).

Really powerful and feature complete. May be not intuitive at first glance.
