Abstracts too much from HTML and is overal slow. Showcase app blackbelt (knowledgefactory) really doesn't work with far too much AJAX everywhere.

The all Java approach to programming does have its charm, but web apps just work better with a declarative GUI (GWT also introduced this as alternative to their Java only approach and not without good reasons!)
